We got seated right away. Tammy was very nice and was a pretty good waitress. The cheese sticks and fried pickles were delicious. The rolls were hot and fresh and were served with soft butter , so good. The ribs, mashed potatoes, loaded sweet potato, and salad were all delicious as well. The only complaint on our food was the steak, it had a weird taste to it, a odd marinade flavor that was almost sour. So we know next time to not get the steak. With the atmosphere, the womens restroom was dirty and needed attention, the toilets had brown stains and rings all inside the bowl and there was toilet paper on the floor. All in all, it was a decent experience, and we will be back! Party of 6 .

Bartender was very professional, engaging, and efficient. Food was good on the whole, but my mid rare NY strip looked like it was cooked sous vide and on the grill for a short time. Band of grayish, well done inside, then rare in the middle. Also, it could have used a bit more seasoning. Fish and chips were good. Always love the okra.

We were seated quickly and our waitress’s name was Elaine. We ordered fried green beans a with spicy ranch dressing/ranch dressing for our appetizer. It was delicious and worth trying for an appetizer. Next was our side salad with Thousand Island dressing. It was fresh and crisp. The croutons were a bit hard but otherwise very good. For main course, I had the Blackened Salmon with a baked potato, butter and sour cream. The salmon was properly cooked and not overly seasoned. The potato was done and hot all the way through. Over all, the experience was good and our waitress was very attentive. I would most definitely recommend Colton’s Steak House & Grill. Side note…the facility appeared to be clean inside and out. Just need to repair the broken pole for US flag that could have fallen during the recent storm and high winds.

When I get hungry for a hamburger, I want a man’s burger. It has to meet certain requirements in order for me to really give it an A+ rating and the Lonesome burger at Colton’s meets all the requirements . In fact, it exceeds those requirements. It’s probably called the Lonesome burger because it’s lonely at the top and this burger is at the top in the burger world. In fact, this is the stuff that burger lore is made of. First off I want a burger that when I eat it and get done I am filled up. I don’t want to buy two burgers. I just want one manly sized Burger. Secondly, I don’t want the bun to disintegrate when I’m eating the hamburger so I’m left holding pieces of meat and condiments. Since the bread couldn’t stand the load and fell apart in my hand. This hamburger bun meats those requirements and standards. Thirdly, I want quality beef and in this case. Colton’s actually grinds up the leftovers when they cut their steaks and it ends up as their hamburger meat, so you’re actually getting a steak burger in reality. Then I want one side and one side only that goes with hamburgers . In my opinion that is a generous large size of french fries. I also want endless supplies of ketchup for those fries and nothing else. The Coltons burger in Bardstown, Kentucky, in my humble opinion is one of the best burgers you can buy. I think the whole meal with iced tea came to $17 and that’s not bad.. If you go to a lesser place, you’ll end up eating two burgers and getting fries that are small and buying a drink so you spend the same amount of money. If you’re hungry for a manly burger, one that a man would make and eat for himself at home this is the burger that you want to eat in my humble opinion. Now food is a subjective experience and this is my opinion only and your mileage may but if you wanna give it a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

This is a nice steak house restaurant in Bardstown, KY. We were there for lunch (just after 11:00) so it wasn’t very busy. The food was very good and the waitress was exceptional. I would go more often if we didn’t live 1 hour and 15 minutes away. However, we travel the Bluegrass Parkway from time to time, going to Tennessee, so we should be stopping again. My nephew says the meatloaf is excellent. Give this restaurant a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Food took a bit of a wait but was worth it. Food was phenomenal. Our ribeyes were perfect! Best I've ever had! Salads and other sides were amazing. Our only complaint was the small sirloin was served rare when medium well was requested. Wished we had room for dessert! And yes our family's last name is Colton!

We eat here fairly regularly when in town. The food is always good, the service is usually excellent and friendly. My wife likes the fish and fries and I usually get either the fried chicken chicken or the salmon, but we do get the burgers too. All quite good. The wait can be long on a Friday evening around 5 - 6 pm, so we usually go earlier. This makes our wait short or none at all.

Known for its robust menu that champions quality cuts and traditional favorites, Colton’s serves up dishes that resonate with both locals and travelers along the Bluegrass Parkway.

One standout is their famously manly Lonesome Burger. Crafted from steak trimmings ground in-house, it delivers a beefy punch that satisfies without the need for a second helping. The bun holds strong against the generous patty and fresh toppings, making every bite substantial and mess-free. Paired with a generous portion of crisp, golden French fries and an endless supply of ketchup, this burger is a testament to thoughtful ingredient synergy and portion mastery.

For steak lovers, while some dishes like the NY strip and certain marinades have elicited mixed reactions—notes of underseasoning or an unexpected tang—there’s still a commendable commitment to quality cuts. Likewise, the Blackened Salmon with a perfectly baked potato showcases their skill in balancing flavors, respecting the integrity of the fish without overwhelming seasoning.

Appetizer offerings, including crispy fried pickles, spicy fried green beans, and golden cheese sticks, bring an inviting start to any meal. These starters boast a crisp texture and bold yet balanced flavors that prepare the palate for the main course.
